I hate it when the Europeans are actually right about something..
In 2001, Pres. Bush imposed tariffs of up to 30% on imported steel. The World Trade Organization has repeatedly found these tariffs to be in violation of our trade treaty obligations. Now Europe is about to impose tariffs on American products in retaliation.

The steel tariffs were a bad idea in the first place, as our economy has many more steel users than producers. Now even areas of the economy untouched by the steel tariff will be affected. Pres. Bush should rescind the tariff now.
